Evening at Hay Meadow | The Unfathomable Artist

“Evening at Hay Meadow – Original” [13th July 2022] by Matt The Unfathomable Artist, drawing with H, HB, 4B, 8B, charcoal (m) pencil and charcoal adhere, signed in black ink on 280gsm 250mm x 300mm gesso primed canvas [pad], digitally edited picture 3282 x 2807 pixels.

“Evening at Hay Meadow – Original” (demonstrated above) took me all-around a single hour in two sessions. The initial session of around 35 minutes was manufactured even though sitting down by the metal gate in Hay Meadow.

Actually viewing the composition you see in this sketch.

I took a photograph to continue performing on a next draft session afterwards that evening. Working with charcoal stick, HB and medium charcoal pencils for all over 25 minutes.

On completing the canvas artwork that late night, I am pretty content with this perform. The differentiation amongst mild and darkish tones, just as the seem and silence intervals in music, would make for a pretty pleasing composition here.

“Evening at Hay Meadow – Sepia” [14th July 2022] by Matt The Unfathomable Artist, drawing with H, HB, 4B, 8B, charcoal (m) pencils and charcoal stick, signed in black ink on 280gsm 250mm x 300mm gesso primed canvas [pad], digitally edited graphic 3282 x 2807 pixels.

‘Sepia’ (proven earlier mentioned) signifies ye olde times prior to the modern day Industrial Age (1760 onwards) when all world [agricultural] land was mainly unpolluted, vigorous and pure.

“Evening at Hay Meadow – Sunshine” [14th July 2022] by Matt The Unfathomable Artist, drawing with H, HB, 4B, 8B, charcoal (m) pencils and charcoal stick, signed in black ink on 280gsm 250mm x 300mm gesso primed canvas [pad], digitally edited image 3282 x 2807 pixels.

For this ‘Sunshine’ artwork (shown above) I digitally extra the Sun and sunflare you see superbly radiant hovering more than the treeline.
Viewing my ‘Sunshine’ variation we can see the idea for the passing of time, interconnective to the Sepia fashion of images.

Astronomers create that it normally takes more than eight minutes for the light-weight from our nearest star, the Solar, to get to Earth.

Consequently could we say there is a sure nostalgia to the hue we see symbolizing time?

Search at how colour influences our perception of age. From sepia colors in photos, to the aged reddish-rust we see on once silvery shining metals.

“Evening at Hay Meadow – Green” [14th July 2022] by Matt The Unfathomable Artist, drawing with H, HB, 4B, 8B, charcoal (m) pencils and charcoal adhere, signed in black ink on 280gsm 250mm x 300mm gesso primed canvas [pad], digitally edited graphic 3282 x 2807 pixels.

‘Green’ (revealed previously mentioned) represents the colour of grasses and leaves attractively highlighting the elegance of character in this artwork.

I seriously appreciate every single one of these new artworks. The clouds are understated nevertheless substantive. There are three layers of darker tones, lower, mid and mid-upper in my composition. We see vagueness afar, while definition is somewhat clearer in the nearer foreground grass stalks. Whilst even with the latter I have tried to make movement, as if the tall grasses are swaying.

I visually measured the grasses surrounding me in the field, that really evening. Definitely above four ft in the very least trodden parts nearer the ‘Ridge Willow’ fence, even nearing five feet tall!

“Evening at Hay Meadow – Collage” [cropped – 14th July 2022] by Matt The Unfathomable Artist, drawing with H, HB, 4B, 8B, charcoal (m) pencils and charcoal stick, signed in black ink on 280gsm 250mm x 300mm gesso primed canvas [pad], digitally edited image 3264 x 3264 pixels.

For my ‘Collage’ artwork (proven higher than) I introduced jointly ‘Original’, ‘Sepia’, ‘Green’ and ‘Sunshine’ into a slightly cropped collage of nine photos. Visually repeating the artworks in Warhol fashion for extraordinary creative effect.

You should observe my ‘Sepia’, ‘Sunshine’, ‘Green’ and ‘Collage’ artworks are all personal digital artworks. “Evening at Hay Meadow – Original” is a sketched canvas artwork, and a electronic artwork far too.

For all those interested right here is the photographic composition by myself from wherever my “Evening at Hay Meadow” collection of artworks has derived:
